Vegan Hollandaise Sauce

This sauce is so good!! It's just as creamy and flavorful as any other hollandaise!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup cashews raw, unsalted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • hot sauce to taste

Instructions
 

  • Soak the cashews for at least 4 hours. If you are low on time, bring them to a boil in a small saucepan, boil for 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let soak for an hour. Drain and rinse.
  • Add all of the ingredients (minus the hot sauce) to a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  • Transfer to a saucepan and heat while whisking for a few minutes, or until it reaches your desired consistency. Add water if it gets too thick.
  • Stir in the hot sauce. Taste and adjust flavors as needed.
  • Serve over an English muffin topped with vegan egg, sausage, and veggies! Enjoy & share.
