Simple Vegan Focaccia

This focaccia bread is fluffy with just the right amount of crunch, and it has a subtle yet delicious flavor. Dip in some olive oil and enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp vegan butter
  • 5 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 3 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 2/3 cup warm water
  • sea salt & fresh rosemary for topping

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish with the vegan butter, then drizzle a tbsp of olive oil over the butter.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • Add the warm water and 2 tbsp olive oil, and gently combine until a dough forms.
  • Pour the dough into the baking dish. Do not try to spread it out, let it stay where it lands. Cover and let rise for one hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F/220 degrees C.
  • Dip your fingers in olive oil. Spread the dough to fill the baking dish, then gently press into it to make holes everywhere without pushing through.
  • Drizzle 2 tbsp of olive oil over the dough, then top with sea salt and fresh rosemary.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cut into squares, dip in olive oil or a garlic dip, enjoy & share!
