I want to put these on EVERYTHING!
I honestly did not know these were a thing until less than a year ago, and they have significantly increased my quality of life. They are so good!! They add the perfect little burst of flavor in so, so many recipes. And they’re so simple to make!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 medium red onion
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 a teaspoon mixed peppercorns
Method:
- Slice the onions very thin.
- Heat the vinegar and water in a small saucepan for just a few minutes, then add the salt and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Add the vinegar mixture, onion slices, peppercorn, and whole garlic cloves to your jar.
- Refrigerate overnight & enjoy!
- These are delicious on sandwiches, tacos, burgers, hot dogs, and so much more!
Pickled Onions
These complement so many dishes perfectly!
Ingredients

- 1/2 tsp mixed peppercorns
Instructions
- Slice the onions very thin.
- Heat the vinegar and water in a small saucepan for just a few minutes, then add the salt and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Add the vinegar mixture, onion slices, peppercorn, and whole garlic cloves to your jar. Shake gently.
- Let sit overnight and enjoy! Refrigerate after opening.
